Here's the St. George News article:
DEVIL PUPS AWARDS NIGHT AND HONORS FOR BILL TOOLE
Welcome to Veterans Calendar, an event calendar for Veterans of Southern Utah, including the Southern Utah Veteran Service Organizations. It is intended to cover veteran-related events in the Southern Utah area, giving dates and addresses and which branch is sponsoring said event.
Stopgap Spending Measure Passed by Congress
Congress passed and the President signed, a stopgap spending measure
(H.R. 5325) that avoids a government shutdown when the fiscal year ends
today. This measure provides full year of funding for the Department of
Veterans Affairs and military construction projects, and extending
current funding levels for the rest of the government through December
9. Lawmakers return for legislative business after the election, with
the House gaveling in on Monday, November 14, and the Senate the
following day.
The spending measure also includes provisions that allow VA to provide fertility services or cover the cost of adoption for veterans with service-connected infertility issues. "We are exceptionally pleased that Congress has passed this legislation granting veterans struggling with service-connected infertility the reproductive medical coverage they require to help them restore their lives and build their families--it is simply the right thing to do," said Garry Augustine, DAV Executive Director, Washington Headquarters.

23 Sep 2016 - Devil Pup Awards Night
2015 Graduates at Awards Night
Please remember our Devil Pup Awards Night program on Friday
evening, September 23rd. This year it
will be held at the Southern Utah Veterans Home in Ivins, where Col. Toole is
currently residing. We will have food
catered by Brick Oven in the Multi-Purpose Room, where we will also have an
award ceremony for Col. Toole as he retires from Devil Pups. Rich Linsday, President of Devil Pups, Inc.
and Col. Ray Blum, Devil Pups board
member, both long time friends of Col. Toole, will attend, as will Heather Ham,
Devil Pups, Inc. coordinator. We are
looking forward to honoring our seven new graduates and celebrating Col.
Toole’s nearly 40 years of volunteer service to the Devil Pup program.
Doors open at 6:00, food at 6:30, program to begin at
7:00. Please be aware that Col. Toole
has had a couple small strokes and is suffering from dementia. He may be overwhelmed by this evening's program - a program
that he’s poured his heart and soul into for so many years.
Please send me an e-mail if you plan to attend, letting me know
how many will be in your party. I want
to make sure you don’t leave hungry.
Thanks to all of you - let me know if you have questions.
