Feb VCSU - 20th

Hi everyone,  the next monthly meeting for the Veterans Coalition of Southern Utah (VCSU) is set for Tuesday, Feb. 20 at 1 p.m. at the Southern Utah Veterans Home. As always, this is an open meeting and everyone is invited.  If you have something you would like to include on the agenda for discussion, please let me ahead of the meeting. Having items on the agenda helps us stay on track and get finished within the hour that we are scheduled for.  

Unless I have forgotten, we don't currently have a speaker set for the 20th; please let me know if you are interested.

Jan 16, 2024 VCSU Meeting

New year, new location for the Veteran's Coalition of Southern Utah (VCSU)!

Our monthly meeting is set for Tuesday, January 16 at 1 p.m. at the Southern Utah Veterans Home. These meetings are typically scheduled for the third Tuesday of each month, although we usually take July and December off.

As always, this is an open meeting and everyone is invited. 

If you have something you would like to include on the agenda for discussion, please let me know ASAP. Having items on the agenda helps us stay on track and get finished within the hour that we are scheduled for.

We don't currently have a speaker set for the 16th; please let me know if you are interested.

American Legion Post 90 Christmas Dinner & Party


Please join us for the Post 90 Christmas Dinner and Party at the Legion Hall on December 15, 2023 from 1800 to 2000.

DUBS is catering the dinner and the Auxiliary will be providing the desserts.

Change of Venue for VCSU Meetings 2024


I just wanted to let you all know that it is official — the Veterans Coalition of Southern Utah will have its 2024 meetings at the Southern Utah Veterans Home in Ivins. Here are the meeting dates for 2024:

** Note that we typically don't meet in July or December. That means our next meeting is Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at 1 p.m. at SUVH.  A big thank you to the Veterans Home for making this great offer. I can't think of a more fitting venue.

Warbird Fly-In


The 14th annual Warbird Fly-In is set for Oct. 20-21 at the St. George Regional Airport (SGU). Warbird aircraft will be on display, you can check out the 
Warbirds Museum, and more!

10th Anniversary-SUVH


The Southern Utah Veterans Home 10th Anniversary Open House Celebration is set for Thursday, October 5, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (flyer above).

This is a great opportunity to visit the facility to learn more about how the SUVH fulfills its mission statement to “…care for veterans, families of veterans, employees, and our community.”

During this event, there will be music, prizes, giveaways, facility tours, food, and a short program featuring a special guest speaker. Everything at the event will be entirely FREE, including the food! Everyone is invited.

I think many of us have not been out to the Veterans Home since before the COVID-19 pandemic, so this is a great opportunity to refamiliarize ourselves.
