August VCSU Meeting

The next meeting of the Veteran's Coalition of Southern Utah is set for 1 p.m. on Tuesday, August 15 at the American Legion Post 90 building.

If you have something you would like to include on the agenda for discussion, please let me know by Monday afternoon. Having items on the agenda helps us stay on track and get finished within the hour that we have the room.

Our speaker will be Matt Anderson from Follow the Flag, who will discuss the unfurling of the largest free flying flag in the world, which is scheduled for Veterans Day in Snow Canyon State Park. I'm excited to hear about it.

Purple Heart Day August 7

Each year on August 7, our nation recognizes the men and women who are Purple Heart recipients. Team Red, White and Blue (RWB) will host Purple Heart Workout week August 5-13, as we honor and recognize Purple Heart recipients.

No July VCSU Meeting

We had discussed this in our last meeting, but I just wanted to reiterate that our Veterans Coalition doesn't meet in July this year. We will resume our monthly, third-Tuesday-of-the-month meetings on Aug. 15 at 1 p.m. at American Legion Post 90. Our speaker for the Aug. 15 meeting will be Matt Anderson from Follow The Flag.
